Team Members

First, there’s Suky, our founder, lovingly referred to as MamaBear.  It was her experience with her parents 40 years ago that led her to seek out others in similar situations to see how they could help each other.  She quietly shares her wisdom with us daily and gently ensures we keep true to our mission.  Oh, and she’s a wiz with calendars and flyers!

Next is Clarke, Suky’s son, an empowering leader and innovator who defies traditional management styles in favor of engaging the team in all decisions.  He knows that people shine when they are living their passions, so he creates an environment where each person can do just that.  Because the environment is one of a loving family, each team member gives of themselves to each other as well as to families.

Marianne is a compassionate and dedicated member of the Network, having been a part of the organization for nearly 25 years. Her wealth of experience and expertise , along with her warm and loving personality allows her to connect with families on a deep level, providing them with the support and guidance they need during difficult times. She leads by example, demonstrating the power of active listening and empathy in creating a safe and supportive space for families to share their experiences.

Throughout her years at the Network, Marianne has made a profound impact on the lives of countless families. Her dedication and commitment to helping others make her a true asset to the organization and a shining example of what it means to be a compassionate and caring human being.

Cathy is a remarkable individual who embodies a wealth of admirable qualities. Her soft-spoken demeanor belies a deep sense of caring and understanding, making her an exceptional listener and confidant. Her fairness and respect for others are apparent in every interaction, and her love for those around her is boundless.

Throughout her life, Cathy has demonstrated a commitment to helping others and making a positive difference in the world. Despite facing her own challenges along the way, Cathy has never lost sight of her values and priorities. Her dedication to living a life of integrity and purpose serves as an inspiration to all who know her.  She’s a remarkable person whose contributions to the world are truly invaluable. Debbie leads with her heart. She has a natural ability to empathize deeply with others, to feel what they feel, and to connect with them on a profound level. This empathy is the foundation of her love and compassion, which she freely gives to those around her.

Maritza is a friendly and welcoming person, always greeting others with a big smile and enthusiastic demeanor. Her warm and inclusive attitude makes her a joy to be around, and she has a natural ability to make people feel comfortable and at ease. Maritza is the type of person who goes out of her way to help others and is always ready to lend a listening ear or a kind word of encouragement. Her positive energy and upbeat personality are infectious and can brighten even the gloomiest of days. Maritza embodies kindness, empathy, and genuine care for others.

Nora is a warm-hearted and gentle individual, who is always eager to extend her kindness to others. With her compassionate personality, she has a natural ability to make people feel comfortable and valued in her presence. Nora's kind eyes are a window to her soul, revealing her genuine interest and deep concern for others. She has a passion for helping people and is always ready to lend a listening ear or a helping hand to those in need. Nora's sweetness is infectious, and she has a way of bringing joy and positivity into any situation. Karen is a compassionate and empathetic team member who has been with the organization for years as a family care partner. Her own experience gives her a unique perspective and understanding of the challenges that many families face. Karen is dedicated to providing the highest level of support to the families she works with, and her commitment to their well-being is evident in everything she does.

Liz is an integral member of the team, known for her exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and warm and welcoming demeanor. She is the go-to person for all the needs of the team. Her strong work ethic and dedication to her job are evident in the efficient and smooth operation of The Network.  Additionally, she ensures that the team is well-fed and fosters a sense of camaraderie and family.

Liz's welcoming nature extends beyond the team, as she makes everyone who walks in the door feel valued and appreciated, regardless of their position or role. Her genuine care and concern for people have earned her the respect and admiration of everyone who has had the pleasure of working with her.

As the first point of contact for our organization, Patsy is responsible for greeting visitors and answering calls with a welcoming and helpful demeanor.  In addition to her front desk duties, Patsy plays a crucial role in organizing our newsletter, flyers, and mailings, ensuring that our families are kept up-to-date on all we have to offer.

Patsy shows patience and understanding particularly when working with families who are new to the challenges of brain change. She takes the time to listen to their concerns and offer guidance and support as needed.  Patsy also has a quick wit and brings a sense of lightheartedness to our team.
